How do I play?Every level hides a colorful picture. Drag the pieces (shapes of 3 to 5 blocks) from the tray onto the board; each one snaps into place, and you can pick it back up to move it. Place every piece so the whole board is covered with no clashes to complete the level. Pieces don't rotate. You can replay the tutorial any time from Settings → Replay Tutorial.
Why is one piece already on the board?Every level starts with one piece already placed in its correct spot to get you going. It's marked with a lock and can't be moved, but other pieces can overlap it wherever the blocks match.
What does the red ✕ mean?Pieces are allowed to overlap, but only where their blocks match. A red ✕ means two pieces disagree on a square—or a piece disagrees with a square you uncovered with the Reveal booster (marked with a sparkle). Move pieces until every ✕ clears.
I filled the board but the level didn't finish.Every level is checked to make sure that any full board with no red ✕s is the right picture. If you're stuck, make sure every piece has been placed—any piece still in the tray has to go somewhere—and that no square is empty.
How do boosters work? You start with 3 of each booster. Reveal shows the correct block for one square. Check highlights which placed pieces are right (green) and which aren't (red). Place snaps one piece into its correct spot. Skip moves you to the next level. You can win more from the daily gift or buy them with gems in the Shop: Reveal 10, Check 15, Skip 20, and Place 30 gems. If a booster runs out during a level, tap it to buy another right there.
How do I get gems? You start with 30 gems. Solving a level for the first time earns 1 gem, and the daily gift wheel can land on 10 to 50 gems. Replaying a level you've already solved doesn't earn gems again. Gems can't be bought with real money; Mosaic has no in-app purchases.
What are skins?Skins change how every block looks. Classic is free, and Fruit, Space, Candy, and Sports are 200 gems each in the Shop. In those skins each block is painted as something real, in its own colors—a strawberry block with seeds and a leafy stem, a blueberry, Mars, a chocolate bar, a football with white laces. Match the same pictures just like you match colors. Once you buy a skin, you can switch back and forth any time from the Shop. Once you buy a skin, you can switch back and forth any time from the Shop.
When does the daily gift reset?Once per day, at midnight in your own time zone. It pops up on the home screen when it's ready, and you can also spin it from the Shop, which shows how long until the next one. A dot on the Shop button means today's gift is waiting.
How many levels are there?300 levels in five stages, starting on a small 4×4 board and growing to 6×6 with more pieces and more block colors as you go. Tap Levels on the home screen to see your progress and replay any level you've reached. The first level of every stage is always open, so you can jump straight to any stage.
Can I go back to a level I skipped?Yes. Skipped levels stay open (shown in orange on the Levels screen), so you can come back and solve them any time.
Is there a colorblind mode?Every block color has its own symbol (in the Classic skin: heart, circle, star, diamond, hexagon, square, triangle, and plus; in the other skins every block is a different picture with its own pattern), so you never have to rely on color alone. Settings → Colorblind Mode makes the Classic symbols bigger and bolder.
Will I lose my progress? No. Your levels, gems, boosters, skins, and settings are saved on your iPhone and kept between launches and app updates. A backup is also kept in your iPhone's Keychain, so if you delete Mosaic and download it again on the same iPhone, your progress comes back. Nothing is stored online, so progress isn't copied to other devices.
Does Mosaic have ads, purchases, or collect data? No. Mosaic has no ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking, and no account, and it works fully offline. See our Privacy Policy for details.
